SCHNOUPINE

She’s probably one of the strongest women I know in spite of her small size. She looks fragile and delicate, as if the wind could blow her away, but she has the strength of David versus Goliath. I have always admired her, since our childhood, and have always been in her shadow though elder then her.

I don’t even want to try to imagine my life without her. We have lived together sharing sorrows and fits of laughters. We even got drunk for the first time together at the age of six for me and four for her.

She’s always ready to give a hand, always available for a chat, she offers you her shoulder before you start talking and will always comfort you.
She’s a spouse, a mother, a worker, a sister, a cousin, a friend, and since yesterday after local elections, the counselor for culture of her hometown.
She’s an excellent cook, a wonderful pastry cook, she’s good with needles and can sew like a dressmaker.

I love her to pieces and I am really proud of her though I never told her about it. Somewhere above us her parents and our grand-parents are probably smiling, delighted, with her success as nobody could ever have dreamed about her being part of the town council.
Spanish Civil War caused great sufferings to our family, and here she comes sweeping away all that pain so exquisitely, which such elegance and she’s just going to be brilliant in her new task.

I also have to add that we can’t look more different from one another though our moms were sisters: she’s cute and smiles showing those deep dimples of hers, she’s a brunette with a generous breast and is rather short.
Her dad was my second dad, her mom my second mom and her son like a son to me.
She’s the strong one and I’m the weak one, she’s the one who finds solutions and I’m the one who finds problems ^_***.
I hardly have seen her crying as she used to swallow her pain and sorrows to avoid suffering to her dear ones, always trying to make people feel at easy and comfortable.

For all those reasons I’d like to thank her and wish her all the best in this world and her new task.
“Merci Schnoupine !”
